HOW IT WORKS:
Classes are taught live on Zoom every Friday at 1 pm Eastern, starting October 23 and wrapping up February 5
Need to miss a class? No problem! - all sessions are recorded and immediately available after every class.
There will also be reading assignments, short quizzes along the way, and a final Certification exam at the end. ‍ ‍

GOALS OF THE COURSE:
Over 13 weeks, participants will learn to “read a build” from the foundation to finishes; Set up a best-practices purchasing system; and work with trade partners in a way that protects the schedule, the direct cost budget, and even your retail pricing.

OWN THE NUMBERS:
SMA’s goal is for your staff to complete the SMA Estimating and Purchasing Certification Course thinking more like “owners of the numbers” with a shared language and process your whole team will be able to use.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Estimators, purchasing agents, project managers, and anyone preparing for those roles, especially newer hires needing to get up to speed quickly.

“Many homebuilders learn estimating and purchasing on the job, one project at a time. The gaps show up as budget misses, change-orders, and profit margin that quietly slips away. ”
— Jason French
