ADVISORY BOARD
The SMA Advisory Board program is SMA’s most stable and consistent platform for builder-client assistance from the SMA team. We have many homebuilders who have participated for over a decade, and as a group represent some of the best-performing homebuilders in the country. The Advisory Board combines Leadership Impact! with a Monthly Financial and/or Operational review focused on your budget-vs-actual performance and meeting your strategic and business goals.
The SMA associate is engaged as a non-voting member of the builder’s management team and over time will become very familiar with the client’s staff, product, market, and business model.
TIMING: Two Monthly 60-75 minute web conferences scheduled for a consistent week/day/time, coordinated by the Builder and the SMA Associate. The suggested meeting agendas are below but can be modified at any time to meet conditions on the ground.
Meeting One (first half of the month) reviews the Executive Impact agenda
Meeting Two (second half of the month) is a thorough financial review.
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: All SMA Advisory Board clients utilize our “Madera CM” reporting engine (the monthly subscription is Included in the investment). This proprietary software provides very straightforward and consistent insight into the builder’s Sales-Starts-Closings-Gross Profit, and other key financial metrics, and provides the base of discussion for budget-vs-actual financial performance. SMA will include one preliminary call to instruct the builder’s team how to enter information in to Madera CM. SMA can also provide staff help importing data and setting up customizations (staff time billable separately.)
Builder Responsibility: The builder must submit their “"meeting one” agendas (SMA will provide the forms) in the last week of the month for the following month, and have their required Madera CM system updated at least 48 hours prior to “Meeting 2”
INVESTMENT: Affordable, but varies by the size and complexity of the client company. A minimum one-year commitment is required. Contact us below for more information.
