Workshop Description - Come and learn the tools for developing an accurate operating budget for any size home building company. We will be using and demonstrating an Excel based budgeting tool so bring your laptops. Upon registration you will be provided with a list of materials or information to bring with you to the workshop so that you can take a giant step toward establishing the sort of budget that will drive your business decisions and profitability. 

Audience – Accounting Managers, Company Owners and Senior Officers.

Two Types of Budgeting Workshops are offered – Offerings are for Production Homebuilders and Smaller Volume Homebuilders. The production homebuilder sessions will be appropriate for builders who are on the completed contract method of revenue recognition and who work in community environments. The Small Volume Builder Budgeting Workshop will be appropriate for those builders using the percentage of completion method of revenue recognition or those on the completed contract method but build under 20-25 homes per year in more scattered settings.

Format – This is a one day session. Starting at 9 AM and concluding by 5 PM. It is offered in a small group setting. In most cases, we limit the attendance to 10 participants or less so that we can address the personal needs and questions of each attending company.

Special Workshop Inclusion – Each attending company will be given, as part of the workshop fee, a copy of either the SMA Production Builder’s Ultimate Budgeting Tool or the SMA Small Volume Builder’s Ultimate Budgeting Tool. These Excel based, macro laden software products will be the teaching focus of the workshops.
